Job Description

When you start as an associate, through formal and on-the-job training and mentoring you will  acquire valuable analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills that will not only make you effective in your job, but also will equip you with expertise applicable to any career you choose to pursue. The combination of Parthenon's non-hierarchical environment and two-case model enables associates to take initiative and drive their Parthenon experience by their interests and desire to learn.

Analytics

You will immediately contribute to client engagements in a multitude of ways. You can expect to work closely with team members on the following types of analyses:

  • Customer interviews
  • Data analysis
  • Macroeconomic forecasting
  • Market analysis
  • Secondary research
  • Task force leadership

Interpersonal Skills

You are expected to actively contribute to the insight-generation process.  The partners, principals and associates on a case team will meet frequently. All members are encouraged to contribute through questions and discussion.

As an associate you will have ample opportunity to hone formal communications skills.  You will present your findings to team members right out of the gate, and, later in your career you might present to clients or conduct training sessions for peers.

Leadership Skills

Parthenon’s entrepreneurial environment fosters leadership skills in all firm members.  Internally, as an associate you will benefit from the opportunity to be involved in leadership opportunities with internal projects like leading school-specific recruiting teams, volunteering to serve on the charitable contributions committee, or organizing and conducting associate training programs.

The Two-Case Model

One of the unique aspects of Parthenon is the two-case model in which associates have the opportunity to work on two client engagements at the same time. This model allows you to diversify your exposure to different business problems and acquire a broad range of skills and experience at a rapid rate.
